SP687-X2 Capacitor Discharge IC에 대한 고찰

 

 

오늘은 SP687-X2 Capacitor Discharge IC에 대한 고찰을 해 보겠습니다.

 

SP687은 아래  용도로 사용됩니다.

 

SP687 blocks current flow in the X2 capacitor safety discharge resistors, reducing the power loss to less than 5mW at 230 VAC.

When AC voltage is disconnected, SP687 automatically discharges the X2 capacitor by connecting the series discharge resistors.

This operation allows total flexibility in the choice of the X2 capacitor to optimize differential mode EMI filtering and reduce inductor costs, with no change in power consumption. SP687 meets IEC 62368-1: 2018 version.

 

 

 

SP687은 X-CAP(X2 Capacitor) Discharge IC로 아래와 같은 특성을 지니고 있습니다.

 

• 750V CDMOS Process

• Auto Re-Start

• X2 Capacitor Discharge

• Less than 5mW power consumption at 230 VAC

• SOP-8/SOD-123 Package design

 

SP687's 경쟁사의 Part는 아래와 같으며, Chip Package 및 Breakdown Voltage도 아래에 있습니다.

SyncPower의 SP687은 2021년도에 적용되는 safety requirement certificate version 3입니다.

 

Breakdown Voltage는 750Vmax입니다. 타사 대비 Breakdown Voltage가 낮습니다.

일반적인 AC 전압이 220V 일 때 +/-20%의 오차를 반영하면 176 Vac~264 Vac Max입니다.

Vpp(Vpeak to peak) Max=264 x 2 X √2 = 746.592 V =거의 750V입니다.

 

또 다른 SOD123 Packager가 있어 PCB 공간적인 부분도 고려할 수 있을 것 같습니다.
